Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Library.
FRIENDS
OF THE ABINGTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
The
purpose of the Friends of the Abington Public Library is to
maintain an association of persons to promote knowledge of
the functions, resources, services and needs of the Abington
Public Library, to build up a greater realization of the importance
of the library to the future of the community and to receive
and encourage gifts, endowments, and requests for the library
and funds for special needs beyond the command of the library
budget.
Membership in the Organization shall be open to any interested adult and/or other organization.
Information
concerning membership in the Friends of the Library and the
group in general may be obtained through contacting the library.
The library staff will put interested persons in touch with
a member of the Friends.
BOOK
TALK
The
Friends of the Abington Public Library sponsor "Book
Talk", a book discussion group led by Beth Stone Anderson.
The group meets on Monday mornings in the Library's Copeland
Room for discussion and friendship.
Books to be discussed may be reserved at the library, or by
logging into your account from our homepage. "Book
Talk" welcomes new members. The Spring 2008 schedule
is:
