Children's Book Discussion Groups

The Abington Public Library offers two book discussion groups for Abington children. We also offer two book discussion groups for young adults- please see YA programs page for details.  All book clubs meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM.  For more information about book discussion groups, please see Miss Emily.

The Cliffhanger Club Child-Parent Book Discussion Group was founded in the spring of 2001.  Participants should be in grades 4 - 6 and be accompanied by a parent reading partner.

The Jr. Cliffhanger Club Book Discussion Group began in the spring 0f 2005.  This group introduces children and parents to the art of talking about a book in a group setting.  Short novels encourage children to read critically.  Participants should be in grades 1 - 3 and be accompanied by a parent reading partner.
