Children's and Teen Summer Reading Program

We regret that the South Shore Astronomical Society program, scheduled for Tuesday July 20 has been cancelled.

Summer Reading Program registration began on Monday June 21.  "Get Your Green On" invites children from toddlers to teens to enjoy reading for pleasure this summer.  Please see the Calendar of Events for activities for children of all ages.  Performers and supplies for the summer reading program are funded by outside sources including:  The Friends of the Library, the Anderson Foundation, the J.L. Bumpus Fund, and Lowe's Home Improvement of Abington.  The Board of Library Trustees and Acting Director Deborah Grimmett regret that due to reductions in the Library budget, and the recent resignation of the Children's Librarian, summer program offerings have been reduced by 35% from 2009.
